I have passed inspection 2 years in a row without any cats on mine here in TX as well(= They only do a visual inspection here. They don't test the exhaust emissions. No CEL = good to go!

NYS is the same.

You could be driving an unsafe death trap with rotted out frame, bad ball joints that barely runs, but if the CEL is off ... you will generally pass inspection.

Or, if you are leaking automatic transmission onto a shock, you will fail for a bad shock.

Really? I figured New York would be one of the tougher states to pass inspection in.

As long as the CEL is not on.

But if you have a CEL on for something stupid not emissions related, it will not pass inspection.

I'm installing My CAI this week and I just realized that when k was my car I get the undercarriage sprayed as well. Should I not continue to do so or does the small amount of water not matter?

If your car is like mine its got a piece of plastic under there that keeps the elements out so you should be good bro

yes that part. That is where the filter will sit, right in that corner. Mine sits right in front of the foglight hole so the only way I'm getting any water in is if I submerge it. I also bought the pre filter when I ordered my intake. Its an extra 20 bucks for that insurance so it cant hurt.

Alright yeah I haven't taken much of a look at anything other than the stock box yet. Would it help any to remove the fog light cover? (I don't have actual lights, just the plastic shit). Assuming the filter falls right behind.
