cold air intake placement

hey im kinda new to car mod scene but i want to put a cold air intake into my 2007 LT lx 2L focus. thing is i dont know where to put it or if theres enough room (theres more room behind the engine but i dont really want to put it behind it or make any major mods such as moving it back).

side note: i do want to eventually do more mods in the future so i want to have enough space for turbo ect.

Not familiar with your engine bay (2007 Australian is a mk2, a car we never saw in the states.) The engine layout seems similar to our mk1.5 and mk2 with the 2.0l duratec though. Ours have the stock intake in the same place and aftermarket CAI's get located in the lower front right part of the bumper. Once all the stock parts of the intake were removed, we had room.

Here is my '07 bay, you can see the CAI's location on the right. After all the bulky stock plastic intake stuff is gone, plenty of room to play with between the battery and front of the bay. the filter then sits near where the front fog light would be in the bumper

IF you order one no need to wonder where to put it.

If your car doesnt have a MAF sensor (which im not seeing in the pic above), feel free to yank the filter box and make your own. Just measure

I did that on my neon, went from a small K&N cone with a 3" opening to a 3" aluminum pipe, to a 3" to 2.5" silicone reducer which attached to the throttle body. Nice results.
