IIRC MagnaFlow has a replacement "Mani-CAT" that they claim performs a bit better than stock.

Haven't seen any reports on it's use here, just pictures & questions.

Any FULL header would eliminate the first CAT, so they aren't truly "street legal" anywhere. Moving sensors to the second CAT may be a way to be somewhat street legal in some jurisdictions, as you still have a CAT in the system vs. eliminating them completely.

You do have the best flowing mani/cat for a d-tech vs the other d-tech's.

What is involved in your local emissions check? Is it a visual inspection, do they hook you up to the sniff your exhuast? Is it full on California strict or just a matter of seeing if your car has any check engine lights on?

So the ST header flows better than any aftermarket header or are you just talking about PZEV vs. ST?

The ST mani/cat is the highest performing emissions compliant option. Obviously an aftermarket header will out perform the OEM ST mani/cat but will also eliminate one of the catalytic converters.

Magna flow has a few aftermarket cats that look really good. Of course they'd fit behind the flex.

I have a magma flow cat on mine and it is the happy medium of performance and street legal. I also have emissions.
