Post Air Intake

I was wondering if it is possible if you can put a K&N Air filter into the factor 05 focus ZX4 air filter box that is on the bottom of the car and if you can how do you do it. Basically how do you change the air filter if you can.

No, the factory filter is not serviceble.

You need to get an aftermarket intake. I've had a MarcyMotorsport intake for 2 years now and I've been very ahppy with it and the results.
MarcyMotorsport:CAI, balanced 11.6:1 motor with ranger crank, cosworth flywheel, tumble flap delete, supertec valve springs, crane cams, clutch master stg I clutch, protoype MarcyMotorsport 2.5" exhaust, FC throttlebody, Quaife, svt bumpers and brakes, full energy bushings, etc.

^^^Just like Aero said... the air filter in Duratecs is a "Lifetime" part.

CAIs are a phenomenal mod for these engines though, quite a kick in butt-dyno (and the real ones!). I have an FC intake, they don't make it anymore, but it's similr in design to the Marcy, I love it.

Also, FYI, K&N makes an intake for the Duratec... but it's not just a drop-in filter, you pull out the stock pieces and install the whole K&N tubing and filter.
