If you like the car & plan on keeping it for a while, then I'd do a motor. This is also a door to a 23. Figure out what the cost of a motor installed vs a replacement car. What would you replace it w/?

There are shops around here that will do that job for abiut $1200. Is your car worth that much....probably.

If you aren't afraid of doing the labor yourself, probabl could get a junkyard motor for about $500

I just paid 320 for a motor. I would take it apart and see maybe you could just rebuild it they are really simple.

I recently spun a bearing. Costed me 500$ for a engine 350 for a tranny 600 for exedy oem clutch kit, and 500$ cash for labour from a shop mechanic. He under priced me by 600$ so if you enjoy the car id fix it. But i mean there only worth 4k in ontario and you'd propbably be spending 2000-2500$. So it basically comes down to how much do you like the car and do you have enough funds for another car.
Have Fun :)

You'd have to remove the trans to pull the crank to do the crank bearings. Or I'd rather pull the motor.
