I bought a second TB so my car didn't have to be down. Was only about $50 for the new TB plus $100 to bore. Maxbore.com was who did it.

I didn't buy it from him. I don't think he stocks them. You have to send him one.

I'm sure your car will run fine with the modded TB. If you have a tune, I would talk to your tuner prior to installing it. The DBW TB can have the sensitivity adjusted in the Pro Racer software. Buying the modded TB may not benefit you that much. Again, since this kind of a new thing for the Mk2 crew, I would talk to Randy/Tom/etc about this mod.

Yeah I will talk with Randy about it and see. For the price I dont see why not. Seems like it would benefit me and support the mods I already have. I think it help even more if I break down and get that cosworth intake manifold. I've opened up my airflow and exhaust about as much as I can but the TB and IM are still bottle necks so I think freeing those up would benefit me.

I got in touch with Randy at Fswerks. He said with my mods and current tuning that I will not need a retune as this wont be that drastic of a change to require it. So that being said I'm going to be getting this done beggining of next year when I can afford to play again.
