Rigged CAI

I am thinking about buying an Ebay zip motor cai and replacing the coupler, adapter, clamps and filter with AEM components. I would then have a 150.00 cai. I was just wondering if anyone would think that this is a bad idea. The zip motor tubing is t-304 aluminum and I don't know how it compares to the 6061 aluminum tubing on AEM cold air intakes. Just looking for some advice before i decide to spend the money.

I bought elbows and couplers off of votionspeed.com (pretty much same as siliconeintakes.com) to build a custom cai. $55! The tolerances are a little sloppy and make sure you clean out the aluminum tubes but itll work.

If you are going to spend $150... ...might as well get a good one you don't need to modify....

Ok thanks for the info guys. I decided to go with the K&N 57 FIPK. I got it for 212.00 so I didn't do too bad. It should be here in 5-8 days.
