i have been working on all the sub sytems with regard to the readiness checks.

it would appear that during the checks, it will stop the process if it finds a sub system that does not fuction and only show the code for that sub system, you must fix that first and run the checks again.

i am working my way through them one at a time.

as described above, the clutch switch appears to be somewhere near the top of the list, the modification described above has taken that code away.

today i again scanned the car with a modus scanner and it showed "brake pedal position switch, no signal" so i studied the circuit and it requires the pedal to be pressed and the sensing wire from the PCM to switch from ground to 12 volts, i have installed a changeover relay in the brake pedal circuit to perform this function, the PCM now sees this signal as shown on the scanner.

the checks also need a signal from the power steering when the steering is turned but this is just an on off switch that i will have to close momentarily so i may also wire this into the brake light switch.

the checks also need an ac pressure switch but this is a static charge pressure sensing switch so can be run to ground.

i will adapt the systems as described, and scan it again!
