Mazdaspeed 3 exhaust on zx3

has anyone ever done this. i have heard regular mazda 3's with the mazdaspeed3 exhaust and it sounds pretty good. i think i might give it a try. my friend just a stock mazdaspeed exhaust that he is giving to me

maybe a little cutting and welding, im sure it can be done. they are virtualy the same car

My friend drives a mazda3 with a 2.3, he got the mazdaspeed3 exhaust and a f2 header and it sounds amazing!!! As for working on the zx3 you should try it and find out for sure since your getting it for free

if you just want the sound change the muffler, you can get all the sound in the world from that.

well i dont want it too loud and like stated above its free. also it is 2.5" pipe all the way back opposed to the 2" outlet on the stock exhaust. so i would assume it will flow better

I'm assuming that you have a Duratec motor then? Reason I'm asking is because I see in your profile that you have a 2004 ZX3, which normally comes with the Zetec motor, and the Mazdas have Duratecs.
