Does anyone know where I could find this information? I searched on here a little, but didn't find anything. It seems like the ST's are more of a rarity than the SVT's... around here at least. Thanks...

i dont believe the ST will have a build number so to speak... SVT's have a build number because they were a limited edition focus, and when they say they are gonna make only a certain number. they actually do only make that certain number, and i assume to track all the individuals they give em' build numbers...

where the ST falls into the "regular" category with the other foci. its just given a VIN and off it goes.

Well - not really, The ST is a special order code.
- It is order code 800 ST

- So if you call Ford, ask for production # for order code 800 st - I had the same question, but no answer yet. They r #ed different, the question is will Ford give out this info.
The ST is grouped 2gther with the ZX4 (Even though my 07 does not say zx4 anywhere..), but I am sure they have different models and order codes all numbered - Computers make this easy!

The ST is more like the ZX2 S/R - a special order of the ZX2.

The SVT is diferent because it produced through a different "niche"
line.

since production has ended I would assume Ford still has a detailed record of all the units per year broken down into model and colors... if they made 2000 or 200,000 of them. maybe Ford doesn't release that info to the public... I was just curious to see how many ST's were made and what the color ratios were (cause I'm a car nerd like that...) heh

that would be pretty interesting to know. i've only seen 2 other st's since i bought mine in july of 04.

Street Appearance and ST may be 2 different things, but they were both 1 vehicle. 1 vehicle rolled off the assembly line w/ different options. The dealer may be able to figure out how many came w/ x option, how many came w/ y option, and how many came w/ z option. etc.. know what i mean?

Nothing new that i know of, but i do know one thing. I'm trying to sell my 06 ST and kelley blue book screws me every time a buyer talks to me. KBB doesn't have anything you can click on that includes an appearance package or the fact that this car only comes w/ one type of interior color. And since they don't recognize that, people keep calling me w/ offers of around 10k. I OWE more than that. Some people just don't understand[rant].
This car is not only special to me. But its special to Ford. The production numbers i'm sure are pretty low. The focus also normally came w/ a 2.0 but when you went to an ST you got the 2.3liter w/ the upgrade. So what does that make this car? Dare i say? The replacement for the SVT Focus? In my opinion, it is! To my knowledge they stopped producing the SVT focus in 05, then in 06 and 07 they made this mysterious car called the ST that was a step above a normal focus w/ better suspenion, bigger engine, no automatics allowed, 4 exterior color options, 1 interior color option and an appearance package to boot. And this mysterios car, to this day still doesn't get recognition for what it is. [mad] [gunfire] [chair]

In case you haven't notice, i'm a little flustered about the offers people give me.

I've always wondered what percent of all 3-doors and 5-doors produced were 2.3l. While they were only made for 2 years, it was the only engine choice in the green-states.

Good luck...
Ford has a tendency of not informing their dealers about special editions/orders.
When my brother bought the ZX2 S/R. He asked "how much for the S/R?"
The sales person "What?"
"The S/R my bro replied... The ZX2 outside!"
So the sales person says "Oh, the Escort??"
Then, he says "It is going into service, 'cause a lady test drove it and complained the shifter was sticking..."
Well, This whole thing is only beneficial, cause he bought the "escort" with an unusually hard suspension, loud exhaust and sticking exhaust cheap!
Of course the supspension was lowered, the exhaust was a borla, the intake was an Ice man and the shifter was a short throw - all from the fac

Official Ford Cust serv answer!!

Well, here it is... the official answer from Ford... I got a hold of the research team. Ford demostrates once again it has a very low interest in actually being a car enthusiast company... Of course the Cust. Ser. Rep had no clue what an ST was...

-The only thing she could mail out would be the build sheet - cool, but I already have one (thanks very much). In any case the build sheet is only a list of the options the car came w/ from the fact, it doesn't even specify what the 800 ST packaged consists of.

..."we only keep production figures by body style..." So no specifics! According to the Cust Serv Rep Ford has no specifics on how many SE, SES, or ST's - Who are they trying to kid???

If that was the case it's no wonder Ford is not doing too well, I better sell all of my (1) Ford stocks. They wouldn't know what cars are selling better by model, engine, specs, etc - Give me a break!

I also have a 68 Mustang. I have its numbers broken down by colour, bodystyle, inside trim, and model.
For instance the
standard Mustang w/ the 6 cyl, coupe while ext, black vinyl interior 3 speed manual XXXXXX
standard Mustang w/ the 6 cyl, fastback red ext, while inter XXXXXX
GT Mustang w/ the 8 cyl-289ci, convertible XXXXXX
GT Mustang w/ the 8 cyl-390ci, coupe XXXXXX

Not really a surprise... My bro has the same response years ago when asking about the prod #'s for the S/R
(They must think we are dumb...) - [shameful]

I wonder if keeping track of the sales figures as opposed to the production, might be an easier avenue.

Does anyone know someone on the Customer Service - I think we need an inside Job![doorpeek]
I know the info is available, it's just not given out
(may be they think I am a spy for GM!)[;)]

Until you can get inside the Wayne assembly plant and manually dig up the records, I doubt we'll ever get an answer.
