oil change at wally world

So i get up at 7:30 am today to get my oil changed at the local wally world and im talking to the chick taking my info. She proceeds to ask my what oil i want. I then tell her i want a full synthetic. then im looking at the price of the "deluxe oil change" witch includes just a synthetic oil and it says $39.95. Well here it is almost an hour later and the lady rings up my ticket and the friggin total was almost 60 bucks. I look at the lady and ask "for what" she then tells me that the 06 foci requires a different kind of oil filter which cost 12 bucks. I've never heard of such nonsense.

If anyone has an 06+ (or even 05 i would assume would be the same) can you confirm that the oil filter is different then others and cost 12 bucks.

Walmart won't put a motorcraft filter on your car. I think they only put fram and penzoil crap; which happens to cost more.

well looks like im off to the dealership for my next oil change then cause they only charge like 30 bucks. i could do it all myself but lack of time and jacking equipment i'd just rather pay a few extra bucks to have someone do it for me. thanks for the input!!

HaHaHa...
No offence but thatís what you get for shopping to wally-mart!

I went there and saw the $12.00 oil filter and left.
They do have a good price on Mobil one or Castrol Syntech in 5 quart buckets though.
AutoZone sells Purolator Pure One Micron filters for $5.00.

Go buy the stuff yourself and take it to your dealer and have them use what you bought. That way you get the oil and filter you like but you don't have to mess with it yourself.

no we do but it will cost a little more than the fram crap. (I work there, hey it pays for school and the focus among other things lol) I have no clue why they did that, unless they were out and got a mobil1 filter for god knows what reason you should of not been charged that. A complete motorcraft oil change should be 25.97 plus whatever the motorcraft filter is. (I think its a few bucks more but I haven't checked, I usually use Bosch or Mobil 1 filters personally)

Motorcraft oil filter at Walmart is a whopping $3.

Walmart did that crap with me also. I nearly lost it with the manager. I showed him the $3 motorcraft filter sitting on the shelf. He promptly took the charge for the filter off. That was the last time I ever let someone else touch my car.

I do like the fact that Walmart carries the motorcraft oil and filter. Now I pay just $15 for a complete oil change.

I don't do it myself because I can't change my oil at my dorm.. and I don't think my girlfriend's family would appreciate me changing my oil infront of their house.

Not everyone has access to everything you do.
