well i went to watch but it ended up being free to race as long as you helped clean the area (raking mainly) seeing it was opening day. my stock 2 litre ran 16.2 at my bestest. not bad. I beat all the other Foci there including one with intake/exhaust... and I fubared the launch but still managed to catch up and pass at the last minute! I guess 16.2 ain't to shabby. might be capable of a whee bit more as there was little traction (less than on the street I think!) but it was fun... and free! It was my first time driving on the track. my car has a manual and no tach too. I ran like 17.5 the first run! then 17.2, then 16.8, then 16.5 and then 16.29something or other and then 16.23something... so yeah I learned at a nice rate there!

Need slips buddy, but good job!

Why does he need slips... 16.2 is a good and BELIEVABLE time for a stock 2.0 duratec focus with a good driver.... nice job by the way!

I thought HIGH HIGH 15s was normal for a stock duratec?

High 15s, that's more of a stock 2.3 duratec time. His is a 2.0 so 16.2 is a pretty good time. I'm sure with more practice he can break to really high 15s.

Oh I thought a stock 2.0 was like 15.9, 2.3 was like 15.6, SVT was 15.2-15.4

him being .03 off from that could actually be accurate. Even for the RACING FORUM, ha

yeah I think I could hit 16.0 for shure. Yes keep in mind its a Duratec and has nothing in it. no ABS, no Cruise, no PW, hell... no tach! so its light. I smoked all the Zeteks. I should have the slips somewhere if you really want me to take a picture of them!

WoW good time. 16.2 is a good time indeed. And it sounded like you had a blast also. And no tickets for racing on the street. The track rules..!
