my first time at the track.....my times.

I ran a 15.2 twice, one time was w/a 2.2 60ft and the other was w/a 2.3 60ft....

heres what they looked like:

r/t: .197
60ft: 2.365
330: 6.468
1/8: 9.864
MPH: 71.65
1000: 12.793
1/4: 15.298
MPH: 88.95

r/t: .206
60ft: 2.267
330: 6.392
1/8: 9.800
MPH: 71.55
1000: 12.734
1/4: 15.251
MPH: 88.51

now I feel I could've knocked that down to maybe a 15.0 or even a 14.9 if I could get some traction in 1st gear, quit bogging in 2nd ( I would drop from 7k to 4.5k because of the spinning in 1st gear) and actually learn the whole powershift method......I can definitely tell how a lightened flywheel can hurt you.......

I was fine goin from 2-4th.....but my 1st to 2nd shift was a pain in the a$$.....I ran on 17" svt euro wheels on crappy "essenza" tires w/18 psi......I was launching at 2-2.5k and it would just build up into a spinning frenzy, for the bogging and atrocious spinning I was kinda impressed w/the 2.2 60fts......I was doing that all day, but there were times when I would miss 2nd because I hit rev limiter in 1st and it wouldn't let me get into 2nd....so I ran high 15's occasionally because of it......overall I had alot of fun, i'll go back and hopefully get better......i'm going to try to buy a set of 16's so I can put some stickies on them to knock down my times a good bit next time around.....but yeah, 1st gear was pointless, it kinda sucked, because there were some Honda guys that I know for a fact i'm quicker in a 1/4 mile, but since they had traction they would beat me down the track : (

Good runs. sucks about the Honda guys. I had my first day at the track this season. I had the same traction problems as you were having so I ordered my drag radial today. They should be here in time have them on by next Sunday afternoon. I can't wait to see how they much they improve my times. Here are my times:

lol it's just irritating because I race these guys on the street and i'm sitting right beside them or winning and these guys were running 14's....blah......but then again we were doing 1st gear rolls in comparison to a dig race.......i'll get some traction sooner or later though, i'm going to have to get some 16's and some nice radials to knock these times down : )

I ordered the BFGoodrich G-Force T/A Drag Radial P225/45R17. They are a bit larger than stock, so I hope they fit under my car. I figure until I can get traction, there is no use in any other performance mods. I'll report back when I get them on and make a few runs.

ahh the nitrous explains the 8.7 1/8th ^^^

dblue, why is your mph so low for a 15.2? You should be doing at least 90mph through the traps. I understand you are spinning and everything, but the final mph is true test of horsepower. You got some timeslip pics bro? I just wanna see how the people next to ya were doing

which would most likely result in a mid 14 in a quarter mile based off the SVT's gearing and top end.
