Track: New record time for my ST
well, me and my car club went to the drags sun 5th, and it was fun. there were tons of cars. i only managed to get 5 runs.

before my new times Iíll give a little bit of history
i runed a 16.86 stock, then 16.50 with just an intake, then 16.29 with I/H, then now my best was 15.94!!!! i think i could have gotten better times, but i need more practice, and better tires.
i beat:
one 03? sentra spec v, with intake. twice. one Integra '99 twice, with I/H/stock exhaust and finally i lost by a mustang Mach 1 by like 1-2 cars. not too bad i think. oh and my best was vs the mach 1.

here are some specs of my time sheet.
r/t: .229
60 ft: 2.403
660ft: 10.236

E.T: 15.940
MPH: 86.348

ps ABQdragway is about 5320 feet above sea level. and according to some people from Racing Southwest there is like a 1.0-1.2sec difference on 1/4 mile times. oh and according to the dyno yet i used to have ~120WHP, with I/H/E at this elevation.

any comments are welcome,

wow man, great reaction time! and your 1/4 mile time is about the same as an SVTF stock so thats good

magic2119 03-05-2006 06:40 PM

i'm looking at my sheet, and my 1/4 was 15.795. and i have an 05 zx3 manual. thats a good time though. does the elevation make the time faster or slower?

Algorhythm 03-05-2006 06:48 PM

Slower, I'm pretty sure.

EricR 03-05-2006 06:48 PM

^^^ Slower. The air is less dense so the computer adds less fuel and thus less kaboom in the cylinders!

nice job man. only wished that i had raced. stupid voices in my head!!!
could of ended up like that pontiac on the second race, broke at the line.

word. just so u guys know a friend of mine has a 97 mustang with 70mm TB, stage 2 clutch, stage 2 cams, exhaust, CAI, and his best was 14.8. there were also only like 1 or 2 10sec cars. most fast dragsters run 11-13.

for the NA 4cyl cars i was the one of fastes i think. but there was one rsx-s that runed a 15.51. spec v's, and GSR's were running like 16.1x

Oh and one more thing they called me the "Cosworth Focus!!!!!" this is due to two costum made stickers i have on my car.

hey James, did u see that sohc turbo civic. if u didnít well he was only spinning the right wheel and he broke his tranny. hahaha. its funny cause when he was doing the little "burnout" he smoke the @#$% out of the right wheel. and then when it was time to launch, he was having so much wheel spin on only one tire. And the tranny just broke. He went up to 3rd gear with out even moving 20ft

I guess this is when a differential comes in handy

you think thats bad? try driving a stock SPI at 7,000 ft, its SUCKS,

netdrgoon 03-15-2006 11:58 PM

NHRA elevation corrected (to sea level) you ran: 14.889@92.418mph

You still have room to improve your 60ft too. It is very hard, but somehow I freakishly eaked out a 2.25 on my 195/60/15 stock tires, and with the better rubber and wider tire on the ST, you should be able to get a better 60ft. I dunno how I did mine...but if you could get yours to do it...damn...I'll bet part of your 60ft is still the elevation. That would make sense.

My corrected (to elevation) time would be a 15.424@88.14mph.
