Well there is a kit at my school that owns a 97 Prelude with an H23(?) Vtec motor swap. Right now I know he will win, but I told him give me until spring/summer to race so I can save up for a few mods. I am not sure what he has done to it completly, all I know is he bougt the car like that and doesnt know much about cars besides "this looks fast". I said give me 5 bolt on mods and we will race. Suspension/wheels done count.

Those preludes are low to mid 15 sec cars.

The h23 were from the early 90's Preludes, don't see what he would have been gaining by going with it unless he has just a base Prelude to start. I remember they were 190hp from the factory back then.

Another buddy of mine, a "Honda, Acura or no car because everything else sucks" buddy of mine, said it was pushing around 220hp, I dont know if I quite believe him but I wanna race him.

If it's a h23 vtec, he probably has the h22 head on it....frankenstein. that is a beast

Showing my ignorance here, but what diff does an h22 head make?

prolly higher compression, and valves and cams might be different. I dont' know either, I am just guessing. [:p]

it depends of the driver...have a friend from team allure in el paso and he said i would easily take him out. he had gone down to cali to hang with his cousin and showed what my car could do. and he has the h22 vtec. i never heard of a h23..

I think the H23 came in the small Honda SUV thing. I know the swap that take the SUV motor in to a Civic or Prelude has been doen a few times
