i think the H23 is a 2.3liter while the H22 is a 2.2liter... like regular B series mix swaps, the 2.3 has no vtec, hence mix the 2.2 vtec head, to get a 2.3 vtec instead of a 2.2.... but i've seen ls/vtec swaps and dont really think theres a difference in power....

but i will agree the prelude is quite fast, even the SH models are good with corning...

hate to be the bringer of bad news but our cars are pretty slow. A stock focus is lucky to get high 16's 1/4 mile. Bolt ons not including FI won't get you much past that either/ i have cams, port and polish, header, exhaust, downpipe, chip, intake, tb, and udps and i am lucky if i get mid 15's

if you want to go fast buy a new car.......or go FI

I love my focus and i am not knockin on anyone elses but i am not ever going to say that i own a fast car, i would say i own a fast focus.....pretty much any 2005/06 model car could beat any stock focus pre2004.......excluding svts

someone said they dont see the point in the ls vtec swap, but i believe that the ls is the only engine that has an available individual throttle body setup.

yea, thers an ls vtec here in town and hes puttin down 177whp 129wtq and hittin a 14.7 in this humidity and with no traction, i bleieve him too, that thing killed my ass, at my sweet spot...as for the h23's..as far as i know, they are good for about a 15.5...i raced one on track road one night and it was even stephen the whole way, nothing givin on either of us the whole way- reason i think for those is emissions i believe

Well thanks but I wasnt really asking for if I'm going to win or not, was just saying. I dont think you guys realize the amount of issue's that it takes to get what a car would run, it seems that most people, not all, seem to think that the amount of hp you have and just what motor it is, and the weight. There are so many things involved.
I am simply saying I am going to run him and see what happens, if I lose I borrow my uncles 63 vette and spank the shit outa him! I dont wanna sound like I'm bitching you guys out but you it seems like many people see things as black and white. Vtec is over rated how many times do I say it? Well enough ranting.

Alright so he has a H23 motor with H22 heads (Vtec) and a header. He said he is set on ordering a greedy exhaust too. I am planning on FS Intake and Catback, Cosworth header, Steeda short throw, Cower cams (Stage 1 if there isnt a turbo kit out yet and stage 2 if there is), H&R Cup Kit, BFGoodrich g-Force tires. Suspension and tire mods are really for launch purpose only.
