The Focus wins 0-30mph, and top gear 30-50mph and 50-70mph tests - wouldn't that decide the "broad powerband" winner? In reality, 0-60 and 1/4 mile are both within 0.2 seconds, no one is blowing anyone out of the water. It's a driver's race.

edit: Check out the ST vs. 2012 GTI "blows any Focus out of the water ST included"? Really?

I'm sorry;I didn't bring up the Fiesta turbo which led to a Mustang comment and I ran with it so nobody was comparing a Mustang to a non turbo Focus and that's where we went off topic but I degress so move on since you guys aren't helping comparing factory turbo cars to each other.

We need to have more members pushing the envelope with header trials to see where to go after that. I believe with air intake, tune, full exhaust (cat!), and a header these cars have 18x whp in them. I'm not sure how much a 180 t-stat would help but that would be a great before and after dyno test. Maybe 1-2 hp but hey every little hp helps when you're pushing for that magic 200. What would really be nice is to see an after market intake come out for the head. I'm not sure how good the factory unit is though, it's obviously made of a light weight composite material so that's a plus.
