I don't know about US but here in Europe the MkII focus has awsome AWSOME transmission. When you shift from 1st to 2nd at 6500 rpm it's just sick how easy gear stick goes from one gear to another, it's so precise and fast. The same thing is when you shift from 2nd to 3rd ,or from 3rd to 4th. When you shift to 5th well it's kind different, to get in fifth gear takes some time compared to other gears.
But fuel consumption after 6000rpm is HUGE. Gas price in Croatia is high so I don't do that very often.
I really don't understand why Ford didn't make MkII GLOBAL like MkI.

Likewise, It's pretty cool to talk to someone from US, I'm really interested how things are in US.

ya im going to really test out some different shift points in my dial-in runs at the drag strip and see what the differences are.. Ill take pictures of my time slips and post them on here with what was faster. My car doesnt feel like im loosing any power all the way to 7 grand on the tach, in first and second gear when im drag racinig, but it feels like it looses a little over 6,500 in third, and fourth i hit governor at 110 mph and im at like 5,500 or 6,000 rmp doin that.
