15.8?

i ran a 15.8 tonight. i have svt header,orp,FS catback,cai,colder plugs/wires/coil,all 3 motor mounts,fidanza flywheel and centerforce clutch.

my 60s were horrible 2.5 and i hit 2.4 once.
just wondering if this is a good time and also how to lower my 60s.
btw this was my first time racing at the track. and iv only watched drag racing twice in my life lol.

i think i can pull a 15.6 with less fuel and a better launch. i had a full tank that night

Those are all the mods you have and you ran a 15.8? That's pretty good especially for a new drag racer.

Wow that is a good time for that 60'. I ran a 15.8 with just a cone filter, ported tb, obx header, and custom (crappy) magnaflow exhaust (stock flex), SD coil, and untuned cam gears. my 60' times were 2.3's

Also don't just rev your motor up and dump the clutch you can find that happy medium of wheel spin and forward motion it just takes a little practice.

You should actually be right around a 15.3-15.4 if you get the 60' times where they should be aka high 2.2's-low 2.3's

^^who me? remember when we accidently ran into each other at the track I ran a 15.9 that night and hung with you lol. I called you out and you whipped out your computer and said look I let off the gas mid track lol that was awesome by the way haha good times except it was freakin cold that night. I have always been in the 2.3's for a 60' time. I'm sure I could hit a 15.7 or maybe even a 15.6 now that I have a new tranny and the cam gears were fianally dyno tuned. Oh man Mouse I had those cam gears way way off. I learned a important lesson never never trust the butt dyno it lies badly
