I don't race or anything but I do enjoy the hobby myself albeit it being expensive when something breaks on you lol. I have had several models over the years but the past 8-9 years I have stuck with Traxxas brands and have been mostly using electric cars the past couple of years.

Here are my two nitro cars: Nitro Sport Pro.15 and Nitro Rustler 2.5R

Then my electric 1/16 Slash

I used to race but when the indoor dirt track near me closed I lost interest. Racing indoors was a perfect winter diversion. I tried racing outdoors in the nice weather but there were to many other things I wanted to be doing on a nice Sunday afternoon and lost interest.

I still have an Associated RC10-T2 that I get out occasionally to torment the dogs in the backyard. :D

I have a brushless Traxxas Stampede 4X4
With a set of paddle tires it runs pretty good in the snow as well
I helped some guys revive an old outdoor track at Erbsville Kartway on the edge of Waterloo
I struggled to find enough time to actually run my truck after working on the track
