Need advice on how to connect wires to harness

I am going to replace the existing aftermarked cd plyaer in my mk1 to another model, but came across a problem that I can't figure it out.
There is already an extension (iso harness - the top picture) but along with this new player there is another one that I need to connect it to the existing one. As shown in the picture the cables at one end are not attached to anything and I am wondering how I can connect these cables to the existing harness.

This is the existing harness sitting in the car:

This is the one I need to connect to upper one:

thanks in advance

I assume the small end plugs into the old radio? You'll have to cut that old end off and splice it with the wires from the new radio. Or buy a new adapter with only the factory end on it and splice them that way. All the wires are different colors just match them. Sounds like you don't have a lot of experience with radio installs, got any friends that could help?

Yup. Cut off the square connector that plug into your old radio and connect the two thinner connectors in that top pic to the new harness, color to color.

Looks like you bought a cheap knockoff head unit too...

If you want to go big, go to Ladd Distribution and order up pins, sockets, and use their Jiffy Splice. You'll need crimp and extraction tools, but it's solid stuff.

Is it possible/safe to plug the sliced cables (the 2nd picture) from the player directly into cars harness (1st picture), f.ex yellow to yellow and then tape the surronding??

I can return this player and instead choose another one but it comes with an adaptor that that at both ends are 12 pins, at one side it seems to a square piece and the other part is as the white piece shown in the 2nd picture. How can I join that adaptor to the existing harness?

No. The harness in the 2nd picture with the white plug will not plug into or match up color to color with the harness in the car. No aftermarket player will.

That top picture is an after market adapter for the radio you took out.

Cut the wires near the small plug, strip them back a bit then just match the colors with the harness that came the new radio.

You can just twist the wires around and tape them but it would be better to crimp them together.

I am facing a small issue after this new player is been installed and is functioning well. But every time the player is turned on there comes a low wizzing sound and it gets a bit higher when the engine accelerates., but when it is turned off there is no wizzing sound at all, so I believe it is not related to the engine.
What do you think causes this sound and is it possible to stop it?
