I just find it hard to believe you paid $40 for a $600+ amp but $150 for a $250 sub. Not arguing by any means, it's just very hard to believe....

It was an audio shop going out of business. They wired my car with 0 gauge for 60$ then I bought the rest. A JL 1000.1 is not a 600$ amp for like 200-300$ range.

A JL 1000.1 goes for 329 new the 1000/1 V2 goes for 600$. Probably a better amp is why its double the price. Its a pretty old model amp, I bought the 500 watt version 4 years ago for 260$ so its about 4 year old model. I had the 3XX watt model too but sold it to my best friend. I also have a MB Quart amp sitting in storage that is new never opened, its a 400.1.

Ah my apologies man. I assumed you had the slash series as the .1 series are nothing In comparison.

I thought the slash series was different but you had me questioning it. I remember the 500.1 being cheaper than the 500/1, I didn't know if it was the newer model or even a different series. They're loud but I am content with the 8", just because there has been a lot of break-in's lately and I want to give them less to steal. It's funny because they broke into the car next to my girlfriends and not my girlfriends 96 civic with a alpine double din in it, no tint, a in sight bass knob that power's her Kicker 500.1 powering a CVX 12. So maybe not the smartest thieves.
