Some touch screens usually are very easy to clean. you can sometimes wipe the smears off with your hand. I just made a purchase for the avic n1, personally i go pioneer.

wow, you went with the Avic-N1. Gotta see photos and hear the feedback on it. Let us know.

As far as touch screens, I would think you'd use the same solution for cleaning laptop screens with. I use iKlear for my G4 Powerbook. There will be cleaning instructions with the unit anyways.

Is it worth it? That's a personal QandA. For me, the only touch screen I'd consider is the Alpine IVA-D300 in order to have an optical connection and control of the PXA-H701 processor. For me, that would be for audio. LoLo must've wanted a killer Nav system, so he got the Avic.

So, what do you want out of the source unit?

if your hold up to buy a screen is that it will get dirty then it might not be where you should blow your cash, haha i never once cared about the dirty i just want a touch screen.

the link is my old car - two days ago i sold it and bought a 2005 just wait till you see what i have started for it allready your gonna shit.

oh yea like LoLo2000 said pioneer rules.

Tip on the N1 unit, the newer versions will lock the dvd playback with the speed wire, this is to prevent the playback during non park pop a switch mid speed wire to defeat that.

Ha ha, Xbox in a car. Dude, my car would never leave driveway. I'm 38 and video games are still addicting. I had the original Atari set as a kid. Rock on Master Chief.

I believe you can hook up a DVD Changer with screens to the Pioneer P9 combo.
Unless you need navigation, that's a killer Pioneer setup.
