(2013) Thoughts on replacing stock 8" Sub ...

Looking to upgrade my 2013 Focus to get a bit more punch. I don't really want to add a box or mess with my car too much (I'm starting to hate the tranny) But I need more bass.

Audio control Lc2i (already own) $79. Amazon link
Kicker 40CWRT82 DVC 2Ohm to 1Ohm $149. crutchfield link
Rockford Fosgate PBR300X1 300w@1Ohm $125. Amazon link

I could hide the Lc2i, and the PBR300x1 under the false floor. I just wonder if this setup would provide enough bass to warrant the money and time spent.

Thoughts? Thank you

The 40CWRT82 should work great. I see the recommended box volume on this is less than the CVT too, which should help. I'm not sure the exact volume of the factory enclosure, but I'm guessing it is somewhere about .25-.3. I would like to know how this sounds in the factory enclosure. I am holding out for an upgrade to the JL Stealthbox right now but would consider this instead. I'm into SQ more than SPL anyway, so the $650 price tag on the Stealthbox is hard to justify.

The 10CVT84 barely fit in the stock enclosure, so I don't think much else will fit in there.

The extra base helps, but I was really unhappy with the highs and mids. I'm not sure if an EQ would help them, but I just couldn't get them to sound good consistently across music styles.

Audison Bit Ten LOC & equalization
CDT HD61a components in front and rear
8" Kicker 10CVT8 in factory enclosure
