Having much difficulty removing screws on 2006 Ford Focus stereo (picture)

I have no idea what to do anymore I borrowed a nut driver from the neighbor but that didn't work - it was just a tad bit too small. Went to Home Depot, bought a set containing different sizes. Again, one was barely too small and the next step up was too big. Ended up refunding them right after that attempt in their parking lot.

What tool should I use? Best thing I can think of are some pliers but they seem too big for the most part.

Can you be a little more specific on what I should buy? I'm a bit bad when it comes to tools - doesn't help that some of mine are missing due to people not returning them

I also read that they're 7-8mm. It seems like a really simple job as long as you have the tools so depending on the cost, I might just ask the guy I bought the new stereo from to remove them for me at for a small fee. They're amazingly reasonable there - walked in today just to buy some butt connectors for the harness/wiring, he ended up letting me use his tools right there to get it done myself.

they should be a 7mm or 9/32. try going to an auto parts store that will let you borrow tools in the parking lot. that way you don't have to keep buying unneeded stuff.
