Any ideas out there to reduce or eliminate the annoying echo when using a synced cell phone+Bluetooth on a 2012 Focus? The person calling the car hears their voice in the cabin as a weird echo. Other foreign makes with Bluetooth sync(Mazda, Honda, Acura, Lexus) don't have this problem.
I find myself covering the overhead panel speaker cover when the person talking to me is speaking to partially prevent the echo. Sort of a dangerous practice.

Have you tried to lower the volume to prevent said echo?

It's not so much the volume or echo as much as it is the fact that incoming voice can be heard while the person is speaking. It seems Ford hasn't incorporated noise cancellation or voice proximity detection.
