ADS idatalink maestro
For those who would like to upgrade their headunit to include nav and still retain the sync system, check out the maestro unit. I just installed one in my 11 fusion with a kenwood DNX 9990 HD. All sync functions still work, and my phone still pairs thru sync. The annoying sync voice is even still there.
It's not perfect, but it is by far the best solution available to retain sync. The factory sirrus can be retained, if it is external to the headunit. The ones that have an internal sirrus tuner (like my fusion) will lose the sirrus capability and right now there is no way to add it back in. The maestro uses a special serial cable that plugs into the same port that sirrus/xm tuners use on the back of the kenwood. I found and purchased mine from crutchfield, they were the first ones in the lower 48 to actually have it. They are selling the whole package, module, ford specific harness, and serial data cable for $195, if you buy a kenwood nav headunit, then crutchfield wiil sell you the maestro setup for half price, or 97.50
Right now the MK2 is the only focii compatible. I'm sure in time the MK III will be added.
