I did download it from your link suss but it is still sitting on my machine at home. Didn't really bother to do anything with it since the few that did install it didn't really seem to indicate that it accomplished anything significant. If it messes with the info on the climate quad but doesn't offer anything major in return I don't think I'll bother and wait for the "official" Focus version I guess.

feta, now that you have had a few days since the install, have you noticed anything else of note?

I'm going to wait for the release of the Focus version since this release is not for the Focus. There might be issues installing the next Focus update if this Taurus version is already loaded, plus I don't want to lose my climate controls.

Version 3.0.2 upgrade was the same software across all the cars but the release notes for this version says it's just for specific models and says the Focus is not included in this release. I haven't seen IVT say this new version is the same across all vehicles, they only mentioned that when 3.0.2 was released.

This wouldn't be the first time there was a different version of software for the Focus. Ver 2.10 (4.23.11081) was only for the Focus.

You don't lose climate controls at all, people thought they did but that's just because the icons on the main four panel screen don't light up properly.

If its not the same software going forward why does this latest update say that it will update from the v3.0.2 update that was specific to the Focus?

I highly doubt they would make the update compatible if they were going to ruin it, but I don't work for them, so I can't be certain.

When the Focus release comes out, it won't be the same upgrade number... that wouldn't make any sense if it's a specific upgrade. In that case, it would upgrade again in the Focus just fine, seeing a different version.

Copernicum, honestly, nothing of note. Same programming errors are there, but since I hardly ever had the missing text or weird multiple overlaid icons, I can't speak to how well it's taken care of that.

My speculation would be that there are Focus/Escape specific issues that aren't fixed in v3.2. They will be fixed in v3.2.1.

Technically that would need to be 3.2.3, since the "3.2" update installs right over 3.0.2 and becomes 3.2.2 from what I've seen of the autoinstall.lst document on the computer before it would install to the car.

Do we have anyone on the forum who owns a model this upgrade is SUPPOSED to apply to? I'd like to know if some of the things I can 100% replicate in my Focus are also the same on the other models... if not, lewisra may be on to something.

I'm still baffled by the fact that if this update is out and official for those models, why is there nothing at all about it at SMR? No one in the community has mentioned getting it or mentioned that they had it available when checking the Sync update page. No post in the "announcements" section or anything. No one has said that they have received any kind of letter or email. When I tried to post info about it over as an FYI for those model owners over there the mods simply didn't put the post up. Seems strange to me.

I'm wondering if the climate control issue is actually spread across all models and irrelevant to the model being updated. It shouldn't matter what module the system interfaces with it should be functionally identical.

The only mention I've found was on an Edge forum(can't remember which one). A member mentioned it was updated when he got it back from the dealer. He noticed that the outside temp was back on the MFT screen.
