All these sprays and liners for sound damping, do they smell?

with a name like Kerosene, no wonder you ask!
most liquid sound deadeners are water-based and any smell disipates when dry.

i had the liquid eDead v3 stuff and it had a fruity kind of smell for a couple days, and that was just because there were 4-5 THICK layers on the floor pan of my ranger where your feet go. didn't smell that bad though.

Also, liquid dampen the door panels and outside door skins. And polyfill in between the door panel and inner door skin. That should give you a nice door thud as well.
I had a lot of fiberglass insulation left over from a construction job. I pulled the trunk panels and stuffed every opening with insulation. I put a lot between the wheel wells and body panels. It made a big difference. Lot less road noise and potholes/rough roads are a lot less jarring. Nice thud when closing rear doors.
