I'm not sure if any of the companies I've used have routes in your area, but- do this: check out http://quotes.transportreviews.com/ if you creat a request with the date you want- ill give a bunch on quotes over a few days, then you can call whichever company with the quote number. It's usually COD, sometimes with a deposit. If there's a deposit, the hauler is being sourced by a broker. If your flexible about your dates, you can usually get a good price.

Otherwise- set up a new email address at google or yahoo and search for "car shipping quotes" in your search engine. Use that new email address to request quotes. And whatever you do, don't give th a phone number you can't get hundreds of calls to!! You will get several hundred quotes by call and email. If you hold out a few days, they'll start getting cheaper. The new email address is because you will get so many! They clog up your inbox. When you get a good price, just make sure they are licensed, bonded and insured. The shipper will walk you through the rest.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for helping!

Wouldn't that be risky to the seller? Or how would that work?

No? You guys would just do a bunch of faxing a mailing back and forth. You'd pay for the car first (wire transfer, paypal, mail a cashiers check..), then get title/bill of sale. After the buyer has the title, the buyer would set up shipping and give the sellers contact info to the shipper. After that the shipper and seller would have to agree on a time and pick up- or you could give the shipper that info. Some are door to door, some have shipping depots.

If you picked a shipper that is broker- they'll require a deposit to send out the job to haulers. Like Forddorf said, don't pay it all up front, if they want it all up front it's a rip off. Brokers suck because theyer middle men, but SOMETIMES they can find you good rates. Brokers want their cut- if you find a place that doesn't require a deposit, it's because it's a direct shipper/hauler in which case you'd pay on delivery for the shipping with no deposit- COD. Either way, the cost for actual shipping should be COD.

Hey- it's a nice car! Haha... If I was in the market for this sort of car, i can imagine it would be frustrating not being close enough to get it!

Guys, the NADA value of this car is around $6500... that's with no modifications. So for $1500 cash plus financing, you can take it home.

Check out www.penfed.org for some ridiculous rates right now. They will finance up to NADA value.

I'm pretty sure this will not pass NYS inspection w/o wipers. What would it take to reinstall them?

About 15 minutes of time, and some vacuum tubing to mount the EBC solenoid elsewhere in the engine bay. I can do this before I ship the car out; it's no problem at all.
