For Sale: SVT recaro front seats

asking price: $400 OBO picked up. if i pull the seat cards off i will sell the cards alone for $350 plus $40 shipping if you are not local.

im located in the hickory/conover area of NC

this is for sale by me and the easiest way to contact me is through PM

if you are willing to pay an arm and a leg to have them shipped then after receipt of payment for the seats i will take them to the shipper of your choosing and get a quote on how much it will cost to package, ship and insure. i will then call you or text you with the details and pricing on shipping and after receipt of payment on shipping i will hand them over to the shipper to send and you will have a tracking number within a few minutes of sending the payment for shipping. i am sure it would be extremely expensive to ship these seats however so i would advise this to be a pickup only deal.

both seats have some flaws. the passenger seat is very minor and is otherwise perfect except for a small rub hole in the side of the seat where it looks like maybe the seatbelt or door rubbed it over time. its about the size of your pinky fingernail or smaller. and the little knob on the left hand side of the passenger seat is missing and the one on the driver seat is loose. i dont really know how to explain the problem with the driver seat except to show pics and let you see it in person. something in the joint between the bottom and back is messed up or missing and the back is sitting cockeyed as a result. its almost like the left hand side of the back of the driver seat sits lower than the right hand side of the back and its twisted to the left slightly. if you sit in the seat in a way that feels natural with your head turned strait and eyes looking strait ahead you end up looking up and to the left at the pillar instead of over the steering wheel out the windshield. if you snag a regular cloth focus seat as a donor you can use it to fix the recaro by removing the seat cards from the ones im selling and putting them on the donor seat. there is a popped seam in the driver seat butt cushion too. that can be sewed up easily enough.

They look really rough. I'm in md but I'd be willing to drive down for a price closer to $250

the only rough parts are the tiny rub mark in the passenger seat the and split seam in the driver seat. the leather did not tear on the driver seat the seam simply separated and it can be sewn back up. other than that the missing and damaged part of the seat can be grabbed from a junk yard focus seat. im basically selling these for the seat cards themselves.

i could remove the cards from the seats and sell just those for $350. i did a little research and that is what those were selling for. the passenger seat is fine and doesnt even need to have the seat cards pulled. i would consider the passenger seat in above average condition and the driver seat in below average condition. i found average and above average seats selling for $500 plus in the archives. with this in mind im dropping my price to $400 for the seats and if they do not sell local i will pull the cards off and dispose of the seats and sell the cards for $350 and i will ship them that way. shipping on the cards would run about an extra $40. those i HAVE shipped in the past.

What are the "seat cards"? Can you advise?

focusmaniaczx3 11-23-2012 09:42 PM

basically seat covers are all they are.

you cant just 'swap seat covers' onto regular seats...that are completely different molds.

that being said, why is the knob on the drivers side sticking out? is it broken or did you trying taking it apart? how far would you be willing to drive to meet?
