Is it easy to replace the stock steering wheel piece with the svt one? It imagine it would be easy but I have thought that about things before and they end up being shenanigans.

Yes the airbag should switch right over as long as you have a 02 to 07.

No it is held in by two screw on the back of the steering wheel I think it's 7mm but not for certain and then just unplug and plug in the new one and tighten back up
