For Sale: 2003 Liquid Grey ZX3
Ok here we go....[popcorn]
The car currently resides in Abilene, Tx.
SOLD ABSOLUTELY NO SHIPPING....lol. MUST be able to pick up the car. I will drive to meet you 2 hours from my location, but there won't be much negotiation room. If you come pick it up, little more flexible.
Ok. 2003 ZX3 Liquid Grey Focus, duh, 131, xxx miles. It is still currently my daily driver.
Stock rims painted black. They were painted black when I got it (not very well done), so I repainted. Sanded, primed, sanded, laid black, wet sanded, cleared, and wet sanded. But they are original 16" rims. There is no lunch box, it has a full custom exhaust, which was on it when i bought it. Header, maybe a cat, could be a giant resonator, and a pea shooter type tip. The check engine light is on, but because there is no down stream O2 sensor. Code reads something like Catalyst efficiency below threshold, that's definitely the downstream O2, plus I've personally checked, its not there...lol. I've had the fofo since January 2010, and I've never had a problem with it. There's a short ram intake with an AEM Dry cone, was there when I bought the car. The vinyl in the back seat by the passenger side window, its coming off, it was like that when i bought the car.
The stuff I did, mostly cosmetic.
Roush wing, liquid grey on the top half, satin black on the sides and bottom. I didn't clear it, and I set it down on the concrete when I put it on so the sides are a little chipped. I did the FRPP kit. The strut bearings may need to be replaced, because there is a rattle from the front end at slow speeds going over light bumps, indicative of lowered vehicles. I did put in brand new strut bearings and mounts when I put in the FRPP kit, its just that Virginia roads eat up cars. Oh, the rear springs are Tein S-Techs, the bolts to the trailing arm are seized to the bushings, so the FRPP kit rear springs, aren't in yet, but everything else is in. There is a '97 Contour valve cover (aluminum) custom painted, by yours truly, with 500 degree engine primer and 250 degree ford blue enamel, then some model paint for the little detail work. I also have the original valve cover too. A Steeda front upper strut bar, blue. There's also a CFM short throw shifter, I don't have the original shifter. And a Seibon carbon fiber OEM style hood, don't have the original hood, please keep reading for reason. Clear side markers and clear turn signals too.
Custom radio and guage trim pieces. New tires February 2011. Texas legal tint March 2012, 27% front and Limo rear (2.5-5%).
The radio...hmmmm.....will stay with the car. There is no antenna, I sold it at FocusFest 2011. BUT my XM, WILL NOT stay with the car...lol. Oh, also, the radiator pipe, the one that's notorious for cracking and slowly leaking, yeah that happened to me in May. I fixed it with a better than new fix, when you see the pic you'll laugh, ford should have done it this way in the first place. Brass fittings and everything...lol!
I don't know about the previous owners (2, I'm the third), but I did have a little fender bender, well more like a hood bender. A lady was at a light turning right, there was enough room for her to go, and me too. I saw that she went (at least i thought), I looked left again to double check to make sure I had time and room to turn as well, and I went. I went into the back of her Rav 4's spare tire at about 5 mph. It bent my hood and upper radiator support bracket. I replaced the radiator bracket from a silver focus, but i painted it blue before I put it in, and matches the hood hinges and valve cover.
It runs great, starts great, and the A/C is stupid C-O-L-D!
