I received my white zx3 kit yesterday and installed it. I found that if you slide the bare wires into the bulb socket so the leads are between the metal contacts and insert the bulb, that it secures the wires. My bulb was burnt out so it didn't create any unwanted light.

The white is nice. It's bright enough to light up the trunk, but not excessively bright. Here is a picture I took. It's not the best picture in the world, and it also has an odd black cast. It's brighter in person.

Nice the only thing that worries me about that setup is if you have two strands of wire meet in the middle it fries the fuse, if you can pull it off Awesome.

Looks good. Glad you like it.

I am interested in a blue set, but here is a question...I have '05 ZX5 without a rear light, so how would I wire them? I have never wired anything before.

Run a power wire from the battery/a fuse to the back.
Might want to have a toggle switch for the light.
ground the led to the chassis.

That its the basics.

If you want, I can try to describe it better

How do you not have a light? They all came with a trunk/hatch light from factory... It might have gotten stuck behind something or shoved up into something, but unless they ripped the entire wire out there should be something hanging around the left side of the hatch someplace.

If not then you can do what SvviftSVT said, a bit more work but it isn't terribly difficult.
