For Sale: 02 SVT cylinder head

location: rochester NY
Price $600

I am selling the original head off my project car. I took it to work (engine shop) and milled it flat, did a 3 angle valve grind and re ground the valves. Will come with valves, springs and retainers. Pressure tested good and also pulled 15 inches of vacuum on the ports with valves closed with less than 2% leakdown on all valves! (up to 10% is acceptable)

It was pulled because of a blown head gasket, only to find the engine sat for 2 yrs with the cylinders filled with coolant. (not good for the bores) The cams were rusted on the lobes too much to save. So I junked them. The valvetrain is all good no rust at all because it was all under the tappets and still oily while it was sitting. Cams are on top so they caught to much moisture from the car sitting in the elements going from hot to cold for 2 yrs.

I also cleaned up the ports and chambers of all the rough curves and casting slag. Smoothed/blended the port necks and guide bosses.

Buyer will have to set the valve clearances to his/her cams during setup. I could not do this at the shop without cams. I would be happy to setup the head with your cams for 200 extra. this will save you roughly 100 bucks at a machine shop and the headache of finding a reputable shop if you dont have a preferable shop you use or the regular.

To the top.... Looking for the right buyer. Great deal here... Dare you to find another freshly machined Svt head for less. Picture requests to turbobanshee420@yahoo.com cannot attach photos here on the board i guess.

Any interest? good clean head... better than new with the multi angle valve grind and chamber/port cleanup. Fresh -.006 deck and freshly ground valves. I'll even throw in a brand new timing belt kit. Springs, retainers and locks included. someone just get it off my shelf. even if you dont need it, beat this price! I'm selling it for what the cost of the machine work would be if I didnt work there lol! Buy it for a spare, these motors crash all the time when you break your timing belt.
