What i could actually use is a non rusted manual ZX3 shell. Dont really care about color as long as its not a rust bucket..

Ford racing high lift valve spring and retainer set. $200.00
What was done in order to rebuild the heads? Valve job? If so, what kind? New guides?

What kind of retainers are used in the FR kit? Even the Ford Racing Catalog doesn't say. I know that the Crower 84169 kits has Ti retainers for about the same price, but I don't want to assume.

Thanks,

Thanks,
The Heads were rebuilt on a Sunen valve machine, they received a 3 angle valve job, new guides, the SPI heads received new improved seats, new valve stem seals, all valves were mic'd and replaced if not with in specs, the springs were tested for open and closed pressures and installed spring height and replaced where necessary.

I am not sure on what the retainers are as i never used them and as you say the Ford racing catalog doesn't specify.

The FR Retainers are basicly stock retainers heat treaded black , the stock retainers are so small that going to the Tit retainers get you very little weight reduction and in my opinion not worth the money

Never had any issues with the FR or stock retainers

Thanks guys. With stock retainers, the FRPP kits seems horrendously overpriced. Compare them to: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRO-68195-16/

What am I missing? Crower makes good stuff AFAIK.

Is the SVT oil cooler still for sale? Also, do you have an SVT VCT solenoid available?
