i'm interested, do you know if the relays are universal with other HID setups?

reason i ask is i have a first gen focus with HIDs but no relay, and the flicker problems aren't common at all but it does happen

I do believe so. My HID kit has adapters that connect into the factory light pigtail that change it to just a 2 pin plug that seams to be common in all HID kits I have seen. The relay harness plugs into the factory adapter and is mounted as normal. Let me go and take some pictures of everything and I will post in a few.

Wiring setup

here is a brake-down of the wiring set up of my HID kit.
First is a HID kit (No relay Harness)

This is the Factory Harness adapter, it plugs into the stock headlight pigtail and provides power to the ballast and has a small plug that triggers the high beam.

This is a close up of the plugs of the factory adapter harness.

This is a relay harness, it connects to the factory adapter harness, then it connects to the ballast to provide clean power from the battery.

This is the whole setup as it would be installed into the car. it goes like this; Factory harness adapter to relay harness, relay harness to ballast, Ballast to Bi-Xenon Bulb.

Here is the H13 Bi-Xenon Bulb, it connects to the Ballast with 2 main wires and has a small plug to control the High Beam.

It looks like the bulbs are different, The SVT uses a H4 bulb and these are H13. The wiring would be ease to change but the housing will not hold an H13 type of lamp. Sorry

It does look complex but you only have to connect the power and ground wires (2 wires), then the adapters plug into the stock headlight plugs (2 more wires), then you stick the bulbs into the housings. The most difficult part is finding a good place to stick the ballast. it takes longer to get the housings out then to mount the system.
