Another nightmare job on my 07 focus

First job i had problems with was changing the rear brake drums the bearing inner race was seized to the shaft and had to destroy it to get it off. Lucky i got the ones with the bearing in the drums.

So tonight i replaced my rear control links for the toe and camber.

7 of the 8 bolts we had no issues with the bottom passenger side for the toe link seized to the sleeve inside the bushing. Instead of pushing the bolt out like all the others did it busted the welds on the nut and pushed the nut and then we had to cut the bolt out. It sucked bad

Driver side was done in an hour then we took a little dinner break and then the hell began. Took about 4 hours we tried everything to keep from cutting the bolt then we just gave up and cut it out.

All this so the car looks cool lowered.

If you haven't bought the tires yet I have RS3's in the barn that have less than 200 miles on them. Brand new. You can shoot me a PM if you are interested, we can work something out.

I have seen your car on the forum before somewhere...Hard to forget those wheels. Very unique.

Why arnt you running them? i got mine dirt cheap, this month cooper had some discount and then you can stack on another discount for using your discount tire card i got em for like $78. a tire.

They look great but they feel soft which scares me.

The wear number says 300 though and i got 3 full seasons from my Direzza 101s with the same tread #

But together they are a different look from everyone else. They were on a car that I bought for parts. Screaming yellow EAP, the rims were junk but the tires are brand new. Waiting for someone to tell me $250 for all 4 so I can get them out of here. They do look great indeed. Still have the nubs on mine haha.

But no, I am running 205's on mine Nankang NS-20 I believe they are on the SVT rims. Summer tires. I love them personally.

Sounds like a great price, just a few weeks late.

Ive had to cut those same bolts when switching to adjustable toe arms, PITA! At least my local ford service department had the bolts in stock. I would have been really annoyed if i had to order and wait for delivery

Yeah, just pretty much count on cutting them out. I used a torch and beat and beat and beat and beat and beat just to end up cutting them and getting new ones. That was back when my car was 4 years old with 85k. Pretty much if you're going to touch those arms plan on getting new ones and new bolts. I anti-seized the crap out of the collar when I put it back together, but since I haven't taken it apart I can't tell you if it helped
