front suspension

Has anyone else added or replaced the front struts and springs. I'm mid way through putting on MOOG loaded struts and without the car back on the ground I'm thinking I just did a lift to the front. Has anyone else put these on their SVT and how does it look overall?

I would have just replaced the struts vs the whole thing. Seems like some ppl have issues w/ the loaded assemblies, like not the correct height or one side is higher then the other, ect. Have you looked or checked out the stickie's?

Where did you find Moog preassembled struts for SVT? I just searched and all I found were "excluding SVT". Maybe you put stock springs on.

Why not just buy an SVT kit from Ford, or springs and struts separately? Ford's are cheap and correct.

Moved to Brakes, Suspension & Chassis.

YES you just changed to stock (non-SVT) front suspension, both 1/2" taller & noticeably softer than std. for your car.

I found them on www.partstrain.com they said for SVT. I just recently bought this focus and the goof ball that had it first put on some crap struts shocks and springs front and back in an attempt to lower it. So I haven't been on here since 2006 2007 with my last SVT.....What is a sticky?

Parts outlets are notoriously misleading when it comes to SVT. Stick with Ford/Motorcraft/FRPP as much as possible.

"Stickies" are threads/links that are permanently "Stuck" at the top of a section for reference.

Here's the main one for this section:New Members Read First: Suspension, Wheels, Brake Performance & General Information

There is also a "how to" section at the top of the directory, which is a listing of 'stickied" information.
