Brake Issue

About a year ago, in our very cold and snowy winter, I had my display tell me that I had low brake fluid. I went to my mechanic, it was low, the topped it up and checked for leaks no issues. A year later same thing happened. I topped it up but I am still getting a warning. The Brake light (the same one that comes on when you have the emergency brake on) came on for a few seconds then went out but I am stilling getting the chyming warning with a very very brief flash of the low fluid warning. Dealer said that it sounded like a sensor was going but was not 100% sure as the light was not permanently on. They checked the brakes and they are okay, lots of pads left etc. They are going to service them which needed to be done anyway. I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what you did about it. The suggested to monitor the fluid and if the light comes on and stays on then to bring it back and they could better pinpoint the issue. I drive a 2009 Ford Focus SES (Standard).
