Lower SVT?

Should I or should I not lower my SVT? It is a dailey driver on all condition roads. I just want to reduce wheel gap. What is the preferred aftermarket spring for the SVT? Who has what and do you like it?

I initially put the KW from motorsport on mine , but it wasent low enough, so i used the Tein springs, and they are perfect. Got them for $125 off of ebay. Check my gallery for the lastest ones with the springs.

What I am looking for is something between stock and Eibach Sportlines. The Sportlines are too low for my commute everyday.

Do you think that is what you are getting from the Tein springs.
--- Did you repalce the shocks and struts?

i put the eibach pro-kit springs on, it only lowers it about .75-1 inch, the ride to me feels better than stock, just a hair stiffer but i prefer that. I did not replace the fact shocks and struts, i know its best to but i just dont have the money to do so and with that minimal of a drop, it shouldnt hurt anything. I paid $215 for the springs, i think H&R springs are about the same price but are stiffer. If you have the money, get the H&R cup kit tho, its worth every cent.

Everybody seems to dread Sportlines when it comes down to daily driving, but I've heard that isn't the case. I know some SVTF owners on here have Sportlines, I think dudley is one of them. Can you tell us how your ride acts in a daily town commute, with the ocassional holes and what not.

I have sportlines and they ride nice, a tad stiff from stock, but it's supposed to be. Check out Spax at BAT Inc. But if you don't wan't a 2.0 then def go with the 1.5.

I had the camber kit too and I'm not sure if it was on correctly(got the struts/springs 2nd hand assebled) or not but it was a harsh ride, almost to the point of not wanting to drive it. After I swapped out(don't need it for 2" just over 2" drops) for the stock upper bearing/bushing the ride is comparable to stock just a tad stiffer. Going over reg bumps and dips is A OK. There was this one dip where I would bottom out with the camber kit on, with it off I no longer bottom out.

Yep, Sure. the sportlines are GREAT. Seriously I am on stock dampers, ( I KNOW I KNOW) they are still perfectly fine. The ride is JUST a little stiffer than stock. NO bouncing. This weekend i had 2 people say this rides really great for being lowered. I do not scrape over speedbumps, just dont drive like an idiot and you are fine. I also DID NOT need the camber kit. I am very happy with them and the way they look and ride. Here are some pics. Let me know if you have any other questions. I am on 40 series tires, instead of the stock 45, plus the springs have settled a little since that pic.
