Lightbulb Installing Energy Suspension Bushing set (4-18119G)

I just purchased a 2003 Focus ZX3 knowing it needed Control Arm Bushings.

I was thinking about installing a complete polyurethane set (Energy Suspension 4-18119G). Has anyone done this? If so are you happy with the results?

Any thoughts or ideas are greatly appreciated!

I had the complete set and svt suspension in my 01 and I joke about it riding similar to a 3/4 ton pickup. A bit rough on some roads but not teeth jarring.

My girl says the 01 and my 4x4 ranger ride about the same.

I say do it. Might as well make it handle a bit better when replacing parts.
I do/did not regret doing the bushings.

Do not forget to grease them well or they will creak and squeak.

Welcome to FF!

I'll move this to the "Brakes, Suspension & Chassis" section for you, there are old threads there on installation including pictures of the process.

not too long about a day or 2 , the longest part was burning the old ones out and cleaning them back up

Here's a good "How To" on bushing installation:

HOW TO: rear control arm poly bushings

Cheers

pain in the ass.
I probably wouldn't do it again, especially the rear one.

unless your suspension is very upgraded (springs, shocks, sways, strut bars) it unlikely you would even notice the difference bushings make.

I only did poly bushing on the front sway bar and didn't notice a huge difference in the front.

I actually ended up putting the stock bushings back in because after a year they started squeaking (even with regular greasing). That would be my biggest concern with going full poly, not a fan of squeaks.
