brakes

Can anyone tell me if the brake setup for the Duratec cars (2.0 or 2.3l) is different than the previous Ztec cars?

Basically, I am trying to find an aftermarket set of pads, and everyone has up to 2004 listed but nothing for the 2.3 before 2005 and nothing for 2005. Not even NAPA, Advance or Autozone carries anything for the 2005 yet.

Basically, I want the Carbotech Bobcat pads for the car and I am trying to see if there is an existing application that will fit.

On 2004, the Duratec and Zetec have same brakes, same suspension.

2005s, I think all have different brakes.

If I remember correctly the rotor size on the 05's are a little bigger than the 04's. Not sure though.

rear upgrade

the rears should be easy.

It should be a matter of pulling the stub drums and stub axles off, putting the new stub axles on, installing calipers, rotors, new hand brake cables, pads and bolting it together and getting a new proportioning valve as the disc will require less pressure than the drums.
