Lowering springs help

So I've been considering a couple easy mods to my 2007 zx4 to help its handling. I have bought 17" rims paired with some sticky tires, which helps a lot. When i bought the car i did change out the stock shocks and struts for some KYB's since the original ones where dead. So here is my question, just to take it a step further and get slightly stiffer and lower springs, what do you guys suggest for my set up? Also I do not want to lower it too much, and spacers are an option.

Thanks for the help!

to If you have the KYB agx's, I'd get the frpp's M-5560-ZXM1, that'll drop it a 1.5'' which works great for a DD. Pass on the spacers. Welcome to modding!!!!

Hi there, my story is some what the same, I own a 2007 Focus SES, planning to change the standard 16x6" rims with 17/18" ones and lower the suspension a bit.

I have few questions for the experts:
1. Is it Ok to go with 18x7.5" rims? does it cause any trouble on turns etc. ?
2. Will lowering be possible with the standard struts (if they are fine) by replacing only the springs?
3. What Spring/strut brands do u suggest to go with?

many thanks :)

1st question= How low do you want to go? I'd lower the car to where you want it 1st & then get the offset & width figured out. For sure your getting dampers to go w/ the springs= don't go cheap. Either do it right or don't do it. Do springs & you'll need struts/shocks to go w/ the spring. Welcome to modding.
