Race Hubs and Duratec for an 03 SVT

Two questions for the group;

1) Does anyone know of a source for stronger hubs I can use for racing? I keep breaking the stock ones on the track.
2) Is a 2L Duratec a direct bolt-in replacement for the SVT Zetec in my 2003 SVTF?

Thanks guys!

Moved to the Suspension, Brake, and Chassis area

I dunno about stronger hubs but the 05 hubs will work, but you will need to use the 05 lower control arms with them since the ball joint is bigger, or replace the ball joint with one from an 05.

Is a Duratec 2.0 a direct bolt in for you SVT zetec?

Sure if you have a whole parts car to swap everything over with then yea it's bolt in. Now if you asking if just the motor will swap over and plug and play into your existing wiring and stuff, then nope, not at all, two totally different engines.

Thank you!
I take it that using the 05 hub requires 05 knuckles as well? I have CFM tubular lower A arms already which use a Heim joint, not a ball joint. Do you know if that will work?

The question aboutt eh Zetec was because I am considering installing a Cosworth Duratec...but maybe not.

Ok is the hub that part with the studs coming out or the part that, that gets pressed into that the lower control arm ball joint and strut go into that your talking about? People call the parts the same name I just need to clear which one you are talking about?

There are no regularly available hubs that are stronger than stock. A couple sets have been made in the past from billet, but they are very expensive and now as hard to find as the invisible pink unicorn.

Do all us track guys a favor and express interest here - HD spindle/hub and bearing assembly

Also, hub breakage is sometimes a result of losing torque on the axle nut. Which nuts are you running?
