Better Handling

Looking to get better handling for my vacation trips to the mountains of North Carolina. Not looking to go insane, but a little tighter feel would be nice. As far as stress bars go do they help much. In my Stang I did not do much other then subframes, front/rear sway bars/strut braces. Brakes I will be looking to upgrade them too. I am looking at a 500$ budget on suspension, 500$ on brakes, 500 on performance.

Sway bars and Shocks/struts and springs. Depends on how low you want to go. If you want to only drop it 1.5" then go with the FRPP. Handling improves alot with just the FRPP suspension then improves alot more with the sway bars.

Stress bars are not noticeable, spend the money elsewhere. Better tires, shocks/struts, springs, sway bars...in that order will be the most noticeable improvements. A proper alignment too, make sure to get toe zeroed out.

If you can find the SVT brakes front/rear, that would be a great improvement as well. If not all of that, just adding some performance pads up front will be a good idea along with ss lines and fluid change/bleed to improve pedal feel.

Performance is a bit more expensive for smaller/less noticeable gains. CAI and exhaust will help but i dont think you can get both and stay under $500. A compromise might be a better flowing drop in filter (assuming you arent PZEV) and then exhaust.

As far as performance I was going to build my own CAI using the stock intake hopefully. Exhaust I was thinking the FSWerks stealth section with a dynomax bullet behind the steath muffler . I'm trying to stay stock height as the mountains will eat my car up if I don't.

If I'm picking up what y'all are throwing down a good start would be: front and rear sway bars/end links with a good set of springs? I already have BFG super street 205/50/16s for tires.

Massive's Sale is amazing ! My goal is to have a little less body sway. I won't be racing it, just spirited driving.

That's the best price I have seen on those struts...paired with the springs and you will grinning through those hills.

I don't think springs will be doable as my old Lancer used to scrape everywhere in NC. It was just stock height.
