Question Help with tail light outage problem on 2003 SE

Every tail light on the PASSENGER side of my Focus SE is out. Even the trunk lid light is out only on the passenger side. Brake light on that side is out too. (Backup lights on both sides are working)

Edited to add 6/26: Weird. Now today the DRIVER side tail lights won't work either except for the middle one (brake light in that one works too), and the middle PASSENGER tail light IS working, but the brake light in it still isn't working.

Can anyone suggest what could be causing this?

I'm an unemployed single mom and can't afford to even get this diagnosed at the repair shop right now and am terrified I'm gonna get ticket after ticket till it's fixed. I want to fix it myself if it's fairly simple.
