Yeah you may be living but what about this guy who might try it? Do you want to be responsible for him injuring or possibly killing himself? You may know what your doing since you've done it before, doesn't make it right or safe though.

If you can't get your friends like I said Autozone rents them out for dirt cheap.

I will slowly get it down. I'm really in no rush, I predict it won't even drop it a full inch. I sit where most people sit with their FRPP kit's already and don't know if I can really go much lower running 235's.

Maybe I'll ask Santa (Girlfriend) for the spring hat's for Christmas

Cool

I just don't want someone getting hurt trying something they've never done before. We've all done stupid and crazy things when working on cars when we don't have the correct tool. Heck I used a lift to compress the springs on my van when doing the front struts, but only cause the springs were so big the spring compressor barely fit on and then it blew it apart, now that was scary! The top hat and upper strut bearing flew across the shop and the spring and compressor went the other way lol, luckily no one was hurt and I only used the lift to get it together since I was borrowing the shop and lift and needed to get it back together.

Jesus! That sounds rough! The more I thought about it the more I was like hm, maybe I should make it clear that a spring compressor should be used especially if your not really comfortable. I've seen people get too excited with out using one and seen springs shoot before. You can ask Jame's I am EXTREMELY cautious and scared around springs under pressure.

Same here! My friend was helping me swap the springs one time on Ole' Yeller and I was letting the lower control arm down with my jack and the arm got caught up. As that happened my friend went to poke it or hit it with either a hammer or screw driver (forget which it's been along time lol) and while he's doing this in my head I'm literally screaming "don't do that!" before I could even say anything he touched it and it popped down and the spring would have launched right at his head had it not got caught in the lower control arm pocket. He wasn't phased at all and I was like having a adrenaline rush since I knew what almost happened and saw his life flash before his eyes lol
