just looking for the some ideas

I am looking to upgrade my struts and shocks and eventually install a sway bar.

any comments as to the best options for both as it pertains to cornering smoothly and/or sometimes drifting?

Thank you for your help!

What is your budget? What kind of driving are you doing; just spirited daily driving or track use?

In addition to the above questions: Are you looking for a drop? How much ride quality are you willing to sacrifice?

spirited daily use, no track driving, more for my entertainment than anything else, I do alot of driving in the hills around here.
no limit as far as budget, but I don't want to spent 2 grand or nothing like that.

Not looking to drop, as far as ride quality, Im far to stubborn to be willing to sacrifice much lol
but no I would like a smooth ride, with smooth cornering, and more stability,
drifting is only for when I have no kids in the car.

I put the Eibach swaybars on, front and rear, great improvement for about $250

I would recommend the Ford SVT springs and shocks, the kit for all four corners is $300.

I ran the SVT springs for only 500 miles and decided I wanted to lower it for looks, got the Eibach Pro-line springs. They only lowered it 1/2" more, and the SVT springs "felt better".

Based on your criteria I'd recommend the Ford Racing SVT suspension kit (sprigs, shocks, & bigger rear swaybar). This will reduce the ride height by about 1/2" which you'll hardly notice. You will, however, notice surprising handling improvements. To use this kit you'll need to get the Massive Omni kit as well. The Omni kit allows the use of the SVT kit on 06+ cars (there was a change in front strut design in 06). Total for both should be around $400.00. Most handling improvements come from firmer springs, larger sway bars and most importantly, a good set of tires. Firmer springs usually means a firmer ride, there's really no way around this. The SVT spring rate increases can be felt but by no means are they uncomfortable for daily driving.

Thank you for the thorough response Geezer.
That sounds like the plan for me, although I am wondering why you chose the sway bar option you did?

I plan on doing all this at once so a new pair of tires and possibly rims is in my plan as well.

The SVT kit comes in two versions one with the bar and one without. Both kits cost basically the same. The SVT bar is slightly larger than the stock bar but has a significant impact on controlling body roll. And for what its worth, swaybars have minimal if any impact on ride quality. They only function when submitted to cornering loads.

Last time I checked the H&R's lowered the car which the OP is not interested in.
