FRPP Suspension kit

My wife bought me the FRPP SVT suspension kit today as a surprise. I'm stoked about it. Just wondered if anybody else had it and what they thought about it

Sounds like an awesome wife.

Isn't FRPP =/= SVT suspension?

FRPP suspension kit and SVT suspension kit are two different kits. Which one did she get you?

Thats just SVT suspension. Ford Racing just distributes it. FRPP kit is a different set up.

I have the same kit and for the price you can't beat it.

You will also need...
Sway bar bushings - http://focus.c-f-m.com/prothane21mmr...0-06focus.aspx
Strut mounts x 2 - http://focus.c-f-m.com/factorystrutm...focuseach.aspx
Strut bearings x 2 - http://focus.c-f-m.com/moogstrutmoun...cuseach-1.aspx

You'll need the nuts that mounts the strut to the strut mount also. The ones that come with the kit are too tall. (unless they started putting the right ones in with the kit)

The one on the left is the one that comes with the kit. The one on the right is the one that you need. You'll be able to get them at any hard wear store. Make sure they are nylock grade 5 or grade 8 though.

And I recommend leaving the rear spring insulators out when you install the kit. It will tighten up the rear a little bit more and your car will sit more even.

The SVT kit will result in significantly better handling than the stock suspension on your car without impacting ride quality too much. I had the Eibach pro system for 60K+ miles and followed it up with the SVT kit. While the Eibach resulted in a better look (bigger drop) I preferred the SVT kit for everyday real world driving.

To add to the parts list above, you may need a new pair of rear lower control arms. This will be totally dependent on if the control arm bolts are seized in the bushings.
